Watched some of it? Good.

That my friends is machima, real time filming in a game. And i would like to use it for my filming project in a few weeks time, yes. That means i will be back online (ps3 should be back soon)

What im planning on doing is starting my own website with Machima episodes, starting off with an hour long special episode to get things going.

What you guys can do to help is be the actors, use you're characters (all mouths need to be covered up for lip syncing reasons obviously) to act out the events. I need around 8 people in total, and more for certain scenes (like battle scenes and what not) Training mode will be perfect for this since i can film on my friends PS3 and act with my own PS3.. So if you guys could help out i'd really appreciate it. Im currently working on the story and looking for voice actors, i'll post up the full story soon enough. Im also asking on MGS league since this forum is barely used any more, if any one reads this. Pass on the message.

Im doing Visual communication, Modules include Graphic design, photography, moving image and illustration.

Im doing this project for moving image but i might be dropping out of Uni because i cant afford to live in a different uni, so i might get a job then apply for manchester uni next year or something.

@ Liquid. Good to know welshy has been on top of things, just aslong as he doesnt try to kick me out instead of giving me my clan back when im back online.

@ Young: Im going to start it as soon as im back online, i need voice actors and body actors, i may need some one to help record from different angles aswell. Anybody got a Ghille suit?

no woriies there, we have been kicking out low level recruits and making sure everyone is improving their abilities. you will definately get it back no worries, he knows there will be a revolt if he doesnt lol.

and yes to the ghilli suit, by alternate (who is lvl14 FOX XD) has a tiger stripe one (i think it is, its greeny anyway!) so that can be arranged whenever you need it!

Well in my Machinima, there will be a story about one guy (that can be you) infiltrating a Drug runner hide out to retrieve a hostage. They are mexican Drug runners, they believe in supersticious crap (like that elchupacobra thing) so before the infiltrator gets to the drop point the locals are going to hear rumours of the swamp demon. A monster covered in Weeds with a bright green eye.

That will obviously be just a soldier in a Ghille suit and ENVG, but mexicans are known retards.

Basically after that it will be a series of shots following you as you knock of the drug runners one by one and find the hostage, who will be the main character for the story. Havent found an actor ofr him/her just yet.

i get to be a weed monster?! i was game before, but now im PUMPED! come back sooner! lol i wanna be a weed monster! what map is it gunna be played on? city based, like UU, or something else?

The first episode will be in AA. After that we're going to be following the other characters around on different Maps (theres going to be one person assassinating a weapons dealer in M.M, another person assassinating a rogue PMC leader on U.U, etc) then the squad will join together On G.G to take out Liquid or another bad guy. Snake Meryl and Johnny may feature every now and then, Raiden may also appear but only a shot appearance, nothing huge.

Each person will have Nano machines controling abilities, on person will be a dead eye sniper, never misses a shot, at any range. Another will have increased strength, another speed, another will be able to go invisible etc etc.

Im working on the story quite alot, if you have any ideas for characters post them up in here and let me know.

what about special appearances? the dead eye sniper could have the big boss eye patch for example? if we are informed of special appearances we could save rwd points for the items needed

Ok heres some characters i've come up with, im working on a story board for episode 1 but its pretty hard without access to photoshop or MGO.

HeavyGunner
Code name: Copper Hide
Real Name: Leon Stephenson

Age: 32
Gender: Male

Apparel
Head: Ballistic helmet or similar

Chest: Tactical armour B Only.

Lower Body: Any camo to match your armour

Waist: Leg Armour

Hands: Any gloves:

Feet: T. Boots & Leg armour

Accessories: Balaclava

Weapon: M60E4 Grip

Side arm: D.E (Desert Eagle)

Special Traits/Abilities: Increased endurance and high damage fresh hold (example, can take a shot gun buckshot to the chest and wont lose momentum.)

Personality: Leon is sarcastic, some what dimwitted and gullable. Quick to anger and always disgruntled. Though extremely loyal to the point of blindness.

Bio: Leon is an ex-Marines soldier. Discharged for unlawful conduct against prisoners of war, a crime he didn’t commit. He is a heavy weapons specialist in the uni, he has a somewhat unrefined approach to opperations, though his skills have always been valued.

After a dishonourable discharge from the United States Marines he turned PMC, following Liquid Ocelots regime like a good soldier should, without question. He was a prime candidate for an experimental project due to his battle statistics. No member of any unit he has been a member of has ever died, no mission has failed and no target has escaped.

During the experimentation process his cerebral cortex was damaged and mutated some what, this resulted in a berserker like ignorance to pain and damage. With this change, the heads of the experiment implanted him with Nano machines to monitor his vital statistics, if he ever surpassed his bodys durability they would automatically sedate him. While unconscious they would provide a life support system of sorts to keep him alive long enough for evac.

Special Traits/Abilities: Increased Sight and reflexes. Can snipe with a none scoped weapon because of this.

Personality: Seamus is pessimistic, bitter, deceitful and untrusting.

Bio: Ex SAS operative turned mercenary. A highly decorated soldier in the SAS, he was awarded with every military possible to earn in his career, including the prisoner of war badge. Held captive by Iraqi insurgence from 2002-2006. This has left him extremely bitter towards the British government and military, it was in this time he lost both his eyes under the pain of torture, both punctured and removed with a cork screw.

After he escaped (with the help of a group of Rebel combatants) he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. In the night, he was taken from his bed by a woman calling herself Anya. This woman would later turn out to be the head of an experimental PMC operation named Magic Bullet. The unit itself was comprised of four members. Seamus was the last to join. While in stasis they managed to replace on missing eye, the other was covered up with an eye patch due to the fact that it rejected every artificial eye placed in the socket.

His nano machines implanted into him increased his reflexes exponentially, to the point where he could shoot a rocket propelled grenade from the sky.

The artificial eye given to him has provided a number of usefull traits, on being his ability to use enhanced night vision without the need for any external equipment, another is increased range of sight. His ability to pick of a target from great distances Is formidable.

Personality: Skeptical, A comedian through and through. Though highly professional. He is witty, Wiley and cunning.

Bio: As a child he was a criminal, he grew up on the streets of Manchester where he would break into houses, steal everything not nailed down, and sell it off. He managed to earn himself a name as a real escape artist. Eventually he could break into a building without so much as leaving a hair or finger print. Nobody would know he ever entered. Some times for a joke he would leave a large amount of drugs in the bedrooms of those he robbed, so when the police came looking, they would be more interested in other things.

At the age of 18 he left Manchester and moved to Ireland with his family, he was quickly brainwashed by a good friend of his, into joining the Provisional Irish Republican Army. Formerly known as PIRA or The IRA. His skills at infiltration where honed to the point of perfection while in this organisation. He would be used to gather intelligence from secure sources, assassinate high ranking government oppositions or steal account codes to fund Sin Fein.

After a few years, The IRA bombed innocent civilians. It was the straw that broke his back, when he believed he was fighting for something worth fighting for he would do whatever it took, but after the cold blooded murder of a large amount of innocent civilians he found himself repulsed. Soon he left and became a gun for hire.

In his time as a gun for hire he’s worked with the SAS, where he first met Seamus O’Callaghan, on joint operations where outside expertise was needed. Eventually, when the marked for PMC troops was growing, he was recruited into Magic Bullet. There he was subjected to countless tests and experiments until he was eventually gifted with nano machine technology which could give him Active camouflage.

In his time in Magic bullet he has extracted Seamus “Dead sight” O’Callaghan from an Iraqi hospital with the head of the experimental unit.

Seamus and Patrick are the closest of the group, Patrick being the only one Seamus trusts and vice versa.

Personality: Analystic, a slave to logic. He is nervous when in battle but arrogant when not, he holds his own abilities in high esteem.

Bio: Cavalier is the only member of Magic Bullet with little to no combat experience. He is a business man of sorts, he works for the highest bidder. It just so happens that Magic Bullet pays handsomely. As a teenaged he managed to hack into the public transportation system of the London underground and throw the entire city into chaos. He soon turned from Anarchistic prankster to Opportunist hacker. His skills where bought by organised crime boss’s. He could empty a bank vault in minutes with little to no heat, where as a group of robbers would take up to thirty minutes and cause a lot of heat.

His abilities with computers didn’t stop there, his abilities soon lapsed into the world of explosives, using house hold chemicals and plastics he was able to build a bomb which could bring a five storey building to the ground. Using this ability, he would build and sell bombs to the highest bidder, usually the IRA.

The first person of Magic Bullet he met was Shamrock, who was ironically sent to kill him. Shamrocks job was to break into Anthony’s personal computer and steal the data stored there, after an hour of failure he contacted command, who instead told Shamrock to offer Anthony a job in the organisation. Tony seeing this as his only way to avoid death signed up immediately. It was Anthony who located Seamus in the Iraqi hospital and brought the ex SAS to the attention of Anya. He is also the creator of the ground breaking Nano Machines coursing through the veins of Shamrock, Copper Hide and Dead Sight.

Well the voices will be done seperately from the filming, I'll be voicing Shamrock, i need some one with an American accent for Copper Hide, Dead Sight needs an english accent, any will do since i havent stated where he's from. Cavalier would have a london accent, not to thick though.

my mic doesnt seem to work in-game (unfortuanetely Sad ) i could easily record a voice over via my headset, its not a cheap crappy one so that shouldnt be an issue. id probably better suit dead sights english accent as i dont really have an london accent. i could always email the split up sound file to you, and re-record any your not happy with Smile

sounds pretty good, when you record move the mic away from your mouth abit to avoid harsh S and P sounds. When you shoud move it further away as you will actually have to shout (I've seen loads of great voice acting ruined by the fake quiet shout.)

Another thing im doing is marking each line for each character with different codes, each line will need to be recorded seperately so to avoid confusion the codes will help. What you need to do is save each file with the code from the line. Makes life alot easier thankfully Very Happy

Im looking to enlist some help recording so we dont have to do the same takes over and over from different angles and what not, i've got an old friend (the first person who joined the clan) who makes short Machinima videos, he's pretty good at recording and im sure he'd love to join a large scale project.

no worries, had experience with voice overs on my college course, so i know what im doing Smile ill just export a few variations of each line and send over, and you can eliminate as necessary. better to have too much than too little, as experience has shown lol

Yeah the more the better, It's just figuring out how to send them without losing quality thats the problem.

I'll need some help building story boards, instead of drawing them im going to use screen shots from the actual game and place them together. Who knows, we could also make a web comic.

get everyone to equip the camera during the shoot and take stills through the binos if you want, make it a bit easier. the web comic is a good idea, much easier to make too

Also, if anybody knows anybody who can compose music for this Machinima that would be great, i'd rather have some one helping us for free, i cant b arsed paying £300 for a copyrighted music set i might not even use.
